‘Child’s Play’ audience dress up as Chucky for screening

An advance screening of the latest ‘Child’s Play’ film saw an entire audience in Austin, Texas (US) dressing up as the infamous killer doll Chucky last week.

After much anticipation, the reboot of the classic Child’s Play horror film –  based on the 1988 slasher movie – has finally been released and these fans were keen to dress up to celebrate the premiere.

The cosplayers outfits were fully on-point, but official Chucky fancy dress is also available for anyone looking for a simpler way to take on the look of the horror genre’s most famous haunted doll.

“Staying at the forefront of design and innovation, our in-house design team have created a new range of Chucky licensed costumes for all the family,” said Smiffys’ director Dominique Peckett. “With new adult costumes for both men and women, a new and improved Chucky mask has been introduced along with Chucky wig that can be sold separately.”

She continued: “The range has been extended to include new toddler and children’s sizes, and baby dress-up crafted in the softest fabrics. Our official costumes are for The Chucky Films: Childs Play 2, Childs Play 3, The Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky.”

The fourth film in the cult classic franchise is perfect for Halloween, and with this new movie release already performing well, sales are expected to soar for the 2019 season.
