Spielwarenmesse highlights: Amscan, Boland Party and Bristol Novelty

Nuremburg toy fair (30 January – 3 February) is key for European party retailers looking to be ahead of the game in 2019, with over 260 party and carnival exhibitors from over 34 different countries showcasing their latest lines in Hall 9.

Launching for the first time this year is Showtime, a new promotion area which will be playing host to a targeted programme of events each day. Catwalk shows will take place three times a day, while other innovations from across the sector will be featured during hands-on demonstrations.

Here’s today’s pick of the showfloor highlights:

Amscan, Stand 9A55/C58amscan

Amscan will be showing a number of exciting new licensed ranges including toy favourite Nerf partyware and balloons, as well as Enchantimals and more. New everyday party designs include Rainbow and Cloud and Tepee and Tomahawk from the Riethmüller brand collection.

The stand will also include new foil balloon designs by Anagram, including the must-see Ombre Orbz. There will also be a fantastic selection of new carnival and Halloween costumes and accessories available to view, showcasing the latest dress-up trends and styles.

Boland Party, Stand 9E57boland

Nuremberg offers party retailers the opportunity to find exclusive products that competitors do not have and is the largest offering of party products in Europe under one roof. Boland will be launching its 2019 catalogue with a huge range of new product, including a number of new themes with an emphasis on disposable tableware and party decorations.

Accessories are a big part of Boland’s dress-up range and the new launch is not short of new ideas and products. The theme on the stand will be a Western theme including a bar and jail, depending on how visitors behave!

Bristol Novelty, Stand 9B33bristol

2019 will be the first year that Bristol Novelty has its own stand at Nuremberg. This is a huge achievement as the company moves forward to provide retailers with more choice. New wigs will be a prominent feature, providing something different for in-store wig walls and Fun Flatables will also be making their debut – these take the standard inflatable costume and ‘blow it up’ to the next level. The 8ft tall baby suits are perfect for gender reveal parties!

Carnival costumes will be prominent on the stand as well, with a range of circus-themed costumes. It’s going to be a special year for Bristol Novelty and the team welcome you to be part of it.
