Smiffys focuses on World Book Day 2019

Costume and fancy dress expert Smiffys is placing a strong focus on World Book Day, which is taking place this year on Thursday 7 March, 2019.

Continuing its strong association with children’s literary licences, Smiffys has extended its range of officially licensed children’s costumes and accessory kits. The collection now includes favourite characters from Roald Dahl, Where’s Wally, Horrible Histories, Goosebumps, Peter Rabbit and The World of David Walliams.

Responding to the growing demand for preschool dress-up,  we are pleased to announce the arrival of our new range of toddler costumes, which also includes CBeebies favourite, Bing, Postman Pat, and Where’s Wally, to name a few.

“World Book Day has become one of the most important (and fun) dates in the school calendar and dressing up plays a big part in helping children engage with reading,” commented trade marketing manager Sharon Poulter. “From animals to pirates and princesses, we are continually developing our range of costumes and accessories to make sure there is something for everyone.”

Smiffys range of children’s costumes and accessories is designed and manufactured to exceed the safety standards required by law, and comply with both EU Toy Safety (EN71) and British Nightwear (Flammability) Standards (BS 5722).
