It was great to see so many of our industry join together in a fun, creative, positive and vibrant environment. Some of the key party buyers attended the expo, as well as a host of party planners, balloon artists and indies. Exhibitors and visitors were, quite rightly, overwhelmingly positive in their response to the show and the team at BAPIA are busy planning next year’s event already. You can read more in the show review later in this issue.

As we begin gearing up for summer parties, we have the usual Bank Holidays to kick things off – let’s hope the good weather continues and gives consumers the excuse to throw more parties. In May, the United Kingdom will come together to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day with parties and events planned throughout the country to commemorate and the ideal opportunity to bring out the bunting and offer a patriotic display in-store.

In this issue, we take a look at licensing in the party sector – an area of continued growth with a range of opportunities for brands and party suppliers to come together for products aimed at all ages and all occasions.

We also delve into the balloon sector, including the latest trends in balloon decorating, moves towards sustainable practice and the newest products to hit the market.

We will return for a summer issue, which will be on your desk in July, but in the meantime, Partyworldwide.net is your valued resource for keeping up to date with all of the latest goings on in the world of party. If you’re not already signed up to receive the weekly newsletters, you can do so on the website and do make sure you keep us updated with all your latest news, views and happenings too.
