Play at Home Fest 2020 calls on party trade

Organised by Dr Gummer’s Good Play Guide, Play at Home Fest 2020 is an online play festival which has been created to lift families’ spirits and support the children’s product industry during the Covid-19 crisis.

As families worldwide face school closures, lockdown, self isolation, and social distancing measures to slow the spread of the coronavirus, the Play at Home Fest aims to put play back at the heart of the home.

The online event, taking place from 23 – 24 May, will offer themed virtual stages and a line-up featuring favourite characters, celebrities and brands as businesses across a wide range of industries will be able to get involved and raise their brand profile.

“The festival’s themes of fun and play will help put companies – including party suppliers, many of which have been adversely affected by the current situation – in front of consumers, helping to build brand awareness at a time when many other campaigns are on hold,” said marketing executive Katie Roberts-Mason. “Creating a party in consumers’ homes when they can’t get out and socialise is the ideal way to inject some fun back into families.”

Play at Home Fest aims to support local businesses and raise funds for the National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal and will be promoted via both consumer and social media. All activities and performances will be live streamed via www.PlayAtHomeFest.com and across Good Play Guide social media channels.

“We’re thrilled to be able to bring together children’s industries to provide an action-packed, fun-filled play festival during such difficult times,” said Dr Amanda Gummer, founder and ceo of the Good Play Guide. “Play at Home Fest enables us to support the trade and consumers at a time where we all need to pull together, help one another and inject as much play as we can into children’s lives.”
