Party Time set to close

Dundee-based indie, Party Time, will close it’s doors this weekend (Saturday 29 March, 2025) after 32 years in business.

Owners Colin and Ray Miles are moving on to pursue different careers, with Colin spending more time as a balloon modeller. They said they have been honoured to help their customers make their celebrations special.

In a post on their Facebook page, the couple said: “To our wonderful customers—many of whom have become dear friends—THANK YOU. Your support, smiles, and stories have made this journey so special.

“A huge shoutout to our legendary Saturday girls—you’ve kept us laughing and running smoothly over the years. We couldn’t have done it without you. We’ve had the privilege of being part of some incredible events—too many to count, but here are just a few standout moments:

  • Colin winning his first international balloon sculpture competition.
  • Creating 30 balloon dresses for waitresses at Café Royal – London.
  • Turning down the chance to decorate T in the Park, thinking it was too ambitious… BIG OOPS.

“Now, as we prepare to close this chapter, we invite you to our CLOSING DOWN SALE. 50% OFF all stock on the shop floor (excluding balloons).

“From the bottom of our hearts—THANK YOU. The memories, laughter, and friendships will stay with us forever.”
