It has been confirmed that Party City’s move into Ireland is the first stage of a larger plan which will see the US retailer making a significant move into the UK and Europe.
The store, which will be the first Party City branch to open outside of North America, will be run by Creative Retail Solutions (owners of seasonal pop-up shop business Halloween HQ) and will be opening on Saturday 8 June in the Liffey Valley retail park in Dublin. It is expected to employ around 30 people.
Creative Retail Solutions is owned by Vincent Lynch and Stuart and Declan Fagan. Speaking to the Irish Independent newspaper, Vincent described the Party City offering as being ‘a store of the future’ for parties, pointing out that it would introduce new concepts to Ireland and offer in-store experiences.
He went on to confirm that if the concept works in Ireland, the team will expand the Party City operation into Europe.
Vincent also confirmed that Creative Retail Solutions would continue to open Halloween HQ stores and would be making moves into the European market for the first time. “There will probably be around 30 stores between Ireland and the UK this year and we will probably have six stores in Northern Europe,” he revealed.
