Morrisons refurb includes major focus on party

The Hartcliffe branch of UK supermarket Morrisons has opened following a recent major refurbishment, revealing a major focus on its party section, with a Party Shop containing a dedicated balloon bar, partyware section and celebration cake zone.

The refurbishment – the first since the store opened 12 years ago – features the very latest additions and developments from the Morrisons brand and took ten weeks to complete.

“We’ve given the store a whole new fresh look,” said store manager Paul Smith. “There’ll be lots of things people haven’t seen before.”

Paul explained that the main changes have been in the non-food areas, and that the most striking addition within the store – which will ‘instantly catch the eye of regular customers’ – is the new Party Shop.

“This is a big area in the store, and will be a one-stop shop for everything you need for a party – cakes, balloons, decorations, everything,” said Paul. “It’s quite new for Morrisons generally and we are the first store in the region to have one, so people probably won’t have seen one before.”
