As Pinterest trends reveal a 200% search increase for ‘Christmas decor ideas’ this month, Ginger Ray has shared its tops five trends for 2023.
Jess Martin, decoration expert at Ginger Ray has shared her predictions for the festive season:
1.White Christmas
Jess explained: “Dreaming of a white Christmas? Bring warm winter feelings and the look of freshly fallen snow into your decor with a monotone, white theme accented by metallics and sequins. Eucalyptus wreaths, hanging paper decorations and mirrored silver accents are important features. This is a classic theme for a reason and a trend that is going nowhere.”
2. Merry and bright
“With bold, bright colours and handmade details, a rainbow bright theme is a super fun, eclectic Christmas trend this season. Classic Christmas colours are given a neon refresh and tinsel makes a modern comeback for a joyful, retro-inspired trend. Expect to see bright felt decorations and novelty baubles.”
3. Cosy copper
Jess continued: “Bring a warm Scandi feel to your Christmas decorations with a cosy copper theme, featuring warm gingerbread tones, creams and luxury golds. Scandi themes have been popular in previous years for good reason but this take on the trend sees less monochrome and pops of subtle colour in the form of paper-hanging decorations and bunting.”
4. Velvet Luxe
“Add a touch of opulence to your decor this Christmas with a velvet luxe decor theme. From beautiful beaded details to luxury velvets in rich greens, reds and blues with hints of gold, this theme has everything you need to bring a truly luxurious and somewhat traditional feel. Ribbons, lavish table settings and lots of candles will tie the scheme together.”
5. Disco
Jess outlined the final trend: “Amp up the glitz and glamour in your home by incorporating disco balls into your festive decor. Whether you want to go all out and bedazzle your whole home or add a few subtle touches to add some extra sparkle, such as disco ball tree ornaments, disco-core has something for everyone. Think giant baubles, flashy garlands and tinsel table-toppers.”
