One Stop Party Shop is a balloon and party shop based in Leamington Spa. Owner Mike Jones talks us through what has been selling well in recent weeks.
Foil Balloons, Large numbers and letters (Qualatex, Unique Party, Amscan)
“The Qualatex large numbers are still selling well. We’ve started joining numbers where they’re in double figures so they don’t spin apart. These are used for anything from birthdays to personal and corporate anniversaries. For letters we use Unique Party or Amscan and order in for bespoke orders but we do sell a lot of ‘love’, ‘Mr & Mrs’ and ‘baby’.”
Licensed Balloons, Paw Patrol (Amscan)
“Paw Patrol is really popular right now. We tend to sell the Anagram group balloon in the multi colours more often than single character or pink themed range.”
Partyware, Sparkle range (Amscan)
“We sell a lot of Amscan’s Sparkle range but there is a gap in the market for some new colour options. People tend not to want black and so have to choose between pink and blue but I think some new colours would do well. The PAW Patrol range also does well and unicorns are hugely popular, especially for party favours such as bubbles.”
Anything Else?
“Gender reveal is getting bigger. We sell a lot of black Qualatex Question Mark balloons, and the balloons in a box. We’re currently getting creative to see what else we can come up with to give customers a permanent keepsake along with the balloons. We went to the World Balloon Convention earlier this year and are feeling really inspired, so we will see what else we can create.”
