The Celebration and Party Expo (CAP Expo) is set to take place at the prestigious Telford International Centre, Telford, UK, on 23 and 24 March, 2025.
CAP Expo is a free two-day extravaganza which is designed to be the ultimate event for party and celebration industry professionals. Designed as the UK’s only trade expo dedicated exclusively to the vibrant party industry, CAP Expo offers attendees an opportunity to connect, create and celebrate.
John Bowler, chief executive of BAPIA, organiser of the expo and the brains behind the new event, tells PPE why he decided to launch the event: “Like any exciting venture, there’s a story behind CAP Expo. It all started on a car ride to another trade show when Sue (my partner in crime) turned to me and asked, ‘have you ever thought about organising our own Expo?” My answer? ‘Yes, but I’m not sure there’s enough demand’. Little did I know that idea would catch fire that very day.
“At the trade show, a prominent industry figure pulled me aside with an idea. You guessed it – they wanted BAPIA to spearhead a dedicated trade show for the balloon and party industry. Buoyed by their enthusiasm, I shared the concept with a major manufacturer. Their response? ‘We were just talking about this last week. BAPIA is the organisation to make it happen’.”
