Balloons and Laughter closes bricks and mortar store

After 23 years trading, the Witham store has been closed, with the retailer moving to a home-based business.

A post on Balloons and Laughter’s Facebook page explained that the land the store was located on, has been sold to developers, meaning the owners, Lorraine and Neil, had to close the store.

The business will be continuing as a home-based service, offering collections and a delivery service on certain orders.

The post said: “We would like to thank all of our customers for the support over last 25 years.

“We also just like to say how we appreciate our Loyal customers who are continuing to support our home based business as we are fully operational… and continuing to supply your balloons for all special occasions.”
The post was met with over 50 comments from customers wishing Lorraine and Neil luck for the future, and pledging to continue using their services as they transition the business.
