Gemar launches new sustainable balloon line

Company bolsters its ‘Go green with Gemar’ tagline by developing a line of 100% FSC certified balloons.

Gemar’s new FSC certified range is created using natural latex which begins life as a milky sap harvested from the Hevea Brasiliensis tree, in the same way that syrup is harvested from the maple tree.

The material is natural and renewable and the trees continue to produce the sap for many years in well managed forests.

100% FSC®-certified (FSC™ C155424), all the materials derived from forests used in manufacturing both the balloons and the packaging come from sustainably managed forests.

Clara Vaugelade-Tafani, marketing manager at Gemar, commented: “It has always been important to us to use appropriately managed forests and work with local communities, developing the FSC-certified balloon range is simply taking that one step further.”
