World Balloon Convention Schedule Announced

The schedule for the bi-annual Qualatex World Balloon Convention has been announced, with a packed line-up consisting of events, classes and competitions for balloon decorators and artists at all levels.

First launched in 2010, the World Balloon Convention takes place every other year and is specifically designed for business-minded balloon decorators, twisters/entertainers, and party store retailers, as well as ambitious newcomers looking to explore a rewarding and profitable career in the balloon industry.

The 2018 event is taking place over four days, from 14 – 17 March, in San Diego at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina. Featuring a complete timetable of carefully designed educational curriculum and other growth-oriented activities, WBC 2018 will help delegates:

  • Expand their repertoire of balloon techniques,
  • Develop their brand and professional presence by learning important business and marketing tips,
  • Increase profit potential by incorporating value add-ons into everyday balloon work, and
  • Grow your confidence and passion for balloons as a career and medium for social expression, decoration and entertainment.

World-class instructors will be leading the theory classes, business tutorials and hands-on workshops, with high-profile names including Luc Bertrand, Sue Bowler, Alberto Falcone, Eve Antonello, Silvia Santos, Chris Adamo and Luiz Carlos da Costa Silva, among others.

After-hours events include extra-curricular festivities such as an opening night party, a ‘beach’ party, a red carpet gala and a number of deco-twisting jams. Delegates also have the opportunity to take their CBA exam.
