As wedding season approaches, the top trends for 2023 have been revealed, using Pinterest and Google search statistics.
Aura Print has taken to Pinterest to find the top themes for weddings this year, with stats taken from January to May 2023.
The top five are:
Disco wedding – 32,129 pins and an increase of 7,400% in Google searches since January. Think retro, glitter balls and 80s playlists.
Sustainable wedding – 10,920 pins and 305% increase in searches. Biodegradable decorations, environmentally friendly venues and dried flowers are order of the day.
Barbie wedding – 23,000 pins and a 30% search increase. As the upcoming Margot Robbie film nears, the trend has seeped into the world of weddings too, and it’s all about pink.
Mismatched bridesmaid dresses – 5,000 pins and 9,900% increase in searches. This trend allows the maids to embrace their own style.
Upcycled wedding dress – 1,000 pins and 6,700% increase in searches. The bride may upcycle a second hand dress or add a touch of DIY to a vintage garment.
