“PG Live will bring ‘a little sunshine’ back into our lives with the first London show since the pandemic began – I can’t believe is going to happen in a month and we’re SO excited on SO many levels!” exclaimed Wendy Jones-Blackett, co-owner of the eponymous greeting card publisher, one of the many leading names who will be exhibiting at the show, which takes place at London’s Business Design Centre. “Meeting up and seeing people is going to be completely marvellous!”

Steve Baker, sales and marketing director of Pigment is another PG Live exhibitor who is “excited at the prospect of seeing real people at PG Live…..Zoom has definitely lost its appeal for us!  It will be great to catch up with all our lovely customers face to face and share all the new product that our studio has been working on. PG Live is definitely our favourite show, we are so pleased that it is going ahead this year and look forward to seeing everyone there.”

“It’s in the diary!” confirms Sarah Moughtincard buyer for John Lewis & Partners and Waitrose. “I am really looking forward to PG Live – it feels long overdue to see and speak to all our publishers old and new! It will be a key moment for us to start thinking about planning for 2022. I just can’t wait to see all the new designs.”

Another retailer who is counting down the days is Sean Austin of Austin & Co in Malvern: “My accommodation is booked! It is so great we have had a date to look forward to when we can meet up with old friends, forge new relationships and feel human once more. I’ve tried to master virtual trade shows, but it has been a struggle when you’re a people person!”

The Show Preview is not the only PG Live correspondence to be winging its way through Royal Mail with a whole sea of different postcards emblazoned with messages from exhibitors now starting to arrive with retailers, having been kindly printed by The Imaging Centre on board from GF Smith.

“After over a year of no trade shows, PG Live 2021 is all set to be a very special reunion of the greeting card community – where business will meet pleasure and no mistake,” commented Warren Lomax, co-show director of PG Live. “This will be the 12th PG Live, but it should have been our 13th, so it will be a double celebration of everything great about our industry – wonderful products, a great bunch of people and a true sense of camaraderie.”
