Sweet Celebrations to close

Banbury-based indie retailer, Sweet Celebrations, will close its doors on 20 July, 2024.

After 28 years of trading, Sweet Celebrations owners, Jane and Kenny Gillett have decided to close their store, while keeping their balloon business operating from home.

The couple said shopping habits are changing and the high street is losing footfall, but that also, they were ready for a change.

In a Facebook post, they said: “While saying goodbye is never easy, we are excited to share that this is not the end of our journey, our balloon business will continue collections will be from our home in Middleton Cheney and we’ll be launching an improved balloon delivery service.

“Thank you for your continued support and loyalty over the years, we appreciate each and every customer and look forward to continuing this journey.”
