Strong Start For PG Live 2018

The doors of London’s Business Design Centre opened bright and early to a throng of card buyers this morning, as greeting card trade show PG Live 2018 celebrates its tenth birthday.

A packed showfloor was laying in wait for early birds arriving at this year’s show, with over 270 exhibitors presenting their latest collections at the sold out event.

PG Live 2018 is the perfect platform for anyone looking to complement their partyware ranges with exciting new card collections – and with greeting cards featuring in the top five best-selling categories for party retailers in Progressive Party’s 2017 Retail Barometer, it’s no surprise that a number of party suppliers have taken advantage of the natural crossover.

Thousands of original, creative cards are on display, while party favourites such as Pioneer Europe, Neviti and Mask-arade are adding some party colour to the show.

“It’s fantastic to be back for the sixth year,” said Mask-arade’s commercial director Ray Duffy. “We’ve got some fantastic new products especially for the card and gift market so we’re really looking forward to seeing what people make of them. We took our first order within ten minutes of the show opening so we’ve got off to a good start!”

“The show has a really nice atmosphere,” said Neviti’s co-founder Tracey Cooper, who is showing for the first time. “We are really looking forward to meeting some new buyers.”

“It’s good to be back for our third year in a row and its great to see some other party exhibitors here as well,” said Michelle Stephens, Pioneer Europe’s regional account manager. “We’re really looking forward to a good couple of days!”

As the most sociable show in the business, PG Live also provides fabulous free refreshments, a complimentary lunch (sponsored by cutting-edge card retailer Scribbler) and a free drinks party after today’s show.

The show takes place from Tuesday 5 – Wednesday 6 June 2018 and is open to all greeting card buyers and retailers.
