Spirit Halloween Scoops Major Licensing Award

North American Halloween and party retailer Spirit Halloween has taken the top honour at LIMA’s International Licensing Awards 2018 for its ‘Stranger Things’ programme.

The prestigious event – held by LIMA (the international Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association) announced the winners of the 2018 awards at an exclusive event held on Tuesday 23 May – the opening night of Licensing Expo in Las Vegas.

The awards also honoured a number of top properties which are popular within the party trade, such as L.O.L Surprise, WWE and emoji.

“This was an outstanding year for the LIMA Awards programme,” said Charles Riotto, LIMA’s president. “Not only did we receive a record 700 submissions, but 42 percent of the nominees originated from outside the US.”

He continued; “Tonight’s winners truly exemplify the very best of our global industry. They are innovative leaders in their respective categories and across the licensing landscape.”
