Spirit Halloween reveals Fortnite costumes

American party and Halloween retailer Spirit Halloween has revealed the first look at its official Fortnite costumes, which will be launching in time for Halloween 2018.

The official licensing deal was announced in late July and sees Spirit Halloween partnering with Epic Games to create a range of officially-licensed Fortnite costumes, cosplay, accessories and gear, in a deal brokered by IMG.

The online computer game Fortnite is a global gaming phenomenon, with over 40 million children and adults getting obsessed with the 100-player PVP Battle Royale and its ‘last man standing’ gameplay.

Spirit Halloween’s new Fortnite collection will feature costume skins and accessories from the game. Fans can also look forward to game-replica weapons and gear to complete their look.

“Fortnite fans will be able to don their favorite costume skins preparing for epic battles in official gear and accessories,” said Kym Sarkos, executive vice president of Spirit Halloween. “Dance battles, gaming with friends and cosplaying are only the beginning. We will continue to add detailed replica products for Fortnite fanatics, so be sure to keep an eye out for additional supply drops.”

“A big part of Fortnite is letting players come together and express themselves in the game,” added Mark Rein, co-founder of Epic Games. “Partnering with Spirit Halloween means they can take that to the next level and we couldn’t be more excited.”

Pre-orders can be placed online at SpiritHalloween.com, with product due to begin arriving instore in early September.
