Smiffys Launches World Of David Walliams Costumes

Party and costume company Smiffys has secured the costume licence for The World Of David Walliams’ popular book characters, including top names such as Gangsta Granny and Billionaire Boy.

The new line includes eight costumes, instantly recognisable from the novels and film adaptations, including Mr Stink, The Boy in the Dress, Ratburger, Awful Auntie and Grandpa’s Great Escape.

David Walliams is a modern global phenomenon in the world of children’s publishing, with over 22 million books sold to date. The titles, which are published by HarperCollins Children’s Books, have been translated into over 53 languages and consistently appear in the top ten bestseller lists.

The costumes will be available from Smiffys (RH Smith and Sons (Wigmakers)) throughout the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. They are expected to be particularly popular for World Book Day, which is falling on Thursday 1 March in 2018.

All costumes and designs are available now.
