Smiffys acquires lease for former franchise store, Smiffys Liverpool

The former store owners of  Smiffys Liverpool, Neville and Beverley Boyars have been running the store for 17 years.

The Boyars will remain in the industry with their family online business, Fancy Dress Party, a successful, long-standing customer of Smiffys, while Smiffys will continue to run the store, based in Bold Street in Liverpool.

Neville Boyars said: “We are delighted that Smiffys have taken over the lease and continue to operate the store as its been such a huge part of our lives for such a long time.

“We wanted to focus our energy on the online business and Smiffys were the obvious partner to take the shop forward and continue to employ the valued team that we have built up. We wish Smiffys and the store the very best for the future.”

Elliott Peckett, director of Smiffys, added: “We are delighted to complete the acquisition of the lease for the Smiffys Liverpool store in Bold Street, which is a landmark within the city and we wish to continue to service its loyal customer base that Beverley and Neville have done a brilliant job developing for the past 17 years.

“We were fortunate to be able to call on their help and expertise to operate the store through an incredibly busy Halloween period and wish them both the very best with their online business.”
