September/October issue of PPE is out now

The September/October issue of Progressive Party Europe is out now, packed full of great content, news, product updates and much more.

As we approach Halloween, PPE’s latest issue is loaded with fresh content from across the international world of party,  continuing our European tour with a trip to Leg Avenue’s European headquarters in Amsterdam and talking to the team at H&P Expo to find out more about next year’s show in New Orleans.

It’s also the time of year when Halloween dominates the thoughts of anyone with even a passing interest in retail. This focus on all things spooky, gory and gruesome used to be the sole preserve of party retailers and maybe the occasional publican. These days, of course, things are dramatically different.

As such, party retailers need to remind consumers where they are and re-establish themselves as the place to go for something a bit different. Thankfully, with larger and more elaborate Halloween events taking place all the time, consumers are starting to move away from the idea of a £10 off-the-peg outfit – if nothing else, the fear of turning up in the same outfit as someone else encourages them to look a little further afield than choosing the first thing they see when doing the weekly shop.

With many suppliers now offering next-day deliveries, it’s never too late in the day to refresh your current stock and – thanks to the various additions and range update catalogues which have been released over the summer – there are hundreds of new lines to choose from. We’ve included a few of those in our Halloween update in this issue.

Family costumes are big business as well, and not just at Halloween. Our focus on family dress-up takes a look at the latest fashion, which sees all members of the family coming together to have fun and is set to be a key trend in 2018/19.

Until next time, please drop us a line with any news, views or anything else you’d like us to look at in the future.

Have a great Halloween.
