Rubie’s Strengthens UK Position

Costume company Rubie’s Masquerade has strengthened its position in the UK and across EMEA with a number of new appointments in key roles across the business.

Paul Bulger has joined the Rubie’s team as head of sales UK. Paul brings a wealth of experience to Rubie’s having delivered growth strategies for key partners across the UK for Hasbro, Pokemon & Nike.

“We are delighted to have Paul on board,” says Chris Isitt, vice president, EMEA and Australia. “He shares our ambitious growth plans for Rubie’s, which we can only achieve though sustained investment and building strong relationships with both our retailers and license owners, both of which are critical to our success.”

New addition to the licensing and marketing department is new marketing manger EMEA Julia Perry, who joins from LEGO and LeapFrog and will work closely with both the sales, brand and licensing teams.

Julia will report to Tracey Devine, head of licensing and marketing EMEA. “It’s great to have Julia onboard,” says Tracey. “Her knowledge of the toy industry will help immensely, she’s a great team player and well regarded within the industry – it’s a pleasure to have her join Rubie’s Masquerade.”

Rubie’s also welcomes Ellen Bamborough as brand protection manager EMEA. Ellen has worked with Apple, Cannon and Levis and will be reporting to Mike O’Connell, global head of anti-piracy.

These new roles will allow Rubie’s to plan for growth and efficiencies across the wider business, Chris explained, as the business increases its presence in EMEA and strengthens its UK team.

“We take great pride in our intellectual property rights and that of our licensors,” he continued. “Ellen’s appointment allows us to continue enforcing this strategy to protect, track and monitor the sale of our products and take action against counterfeit product in the market.”
