Rubie’s UK will be spearheading a Guinness World Record attempt this weekend, held on Sunday 29 October at London’s famous Comic Con event, in ExCel.
Rubie’s UK has been helping to promote the record-breaking attempt – for the largest gathering of Marvel Avengers in one place – by supplying Marvel Avengers costumes for free to the first 400 people who register to take part.
Rubie’s will be supplying both adult and children’s costumes, featuring Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man and Hulk and has been primarily publicising the event through its social media channels, as well as through the MCM London Comic Con website.
There will be an official Guinness adjudicator on hand to verify the world record attempt, which will succeed if more than 250 or more participants take part.
Speaking about the attempt Tracey Devine, head of licensing and marketing EMEA at Rubie’s said, “We are really excited to be attempting this World Record and what better place to do it than at London Comic Con in the run up to Halloween.”
She continued, “Everyone has their favourite Marvel Avengers character and we thought it would be fun to see how many we can get into one place at the same time.”
Visitors attending Comic Con in their own Marvel cosplay can also join in and help make history.
