Pokémon costumes to launch at retail for Halloween 2019

Pokémon costumes will be launching at retail for Halloween 2019 following the announcement of a new, multi-year licensing agreement between dress-up company Disguise and The Pokémon Company International.

The deal will see Disguise designing and manufacturing Halloween costumes and accessories for children, tweens and adults featuring Pikachu, Eevee, Ash Ketchum and many of the other most popular characters from the Pokémon world.

The licensing deal is based on the popular Pokémon animation and encompasses US and Canada. The costumes are currently expected to launch in Q3 2019, just in time for Halloween.

“Pokémon is as popular as ever and we’re excited to help fans of all ages become many of the most-beloved characters from the franchise this Halloween,” said Tara Hefter, evp and general manager of Disguise.

She continued: “This is one of the world’s most iconic brands and we’re thrilled to create fun and innovative costumes and accessories for the whole family to wear.”
