PG Live 2018: Neviti Raises The Party Bar

With greeting card trade show PG Live 2018 taking place next week, PartyWorldwide.net spoke to Neviti’s director Tracey Cooper about the debut exhibitor’s hopes for the show.

Hi Tracey! How have the last few months been for Neviti?

“It’s been a busy couple of weeks with visits to China and USA to meet with suppliers and attend trade shows. It’s a really important time of year because we are starting to plan the 2019 ranges and need to check the trends and work out what’s going to be big next year.”

That sounds exhausting! Did you see much Royal Wedding business?

“The Royal Wedding has given a much needed boost to the party industry and put the British Royal Family back on the map. Our Celebrate Britain range was in demand, with key pieces such as napkins and table confetti selling out. We also saw an unexpected boost to sales in our Keep Calm range which features a crown design with the ever popular Keep Calm & Party slogan and I predict that all things British will continue to trend for the rest of this year and into 2019. Who doesn’t love a party and a bit of red, white and blue!”

Talking of parties, you’re showing at greeting card exhibition PG Live next week. Can you tell us a little more about that?

“It’s our first time at PG Live and we are hoping to meet some new faces who may not have heard of the Neviti brand before. The Business Design Centre is a great venue in the heart of Islington and we are really looking forward to spending a couple of days there including soaking up the atmosphere of the high street during the evenings.”

Sounds like it’s going to be an interesting couple of days! Is there anything you are showcasing specifically?

“In 2017 we added some stationery items such as wedding invitations and Save the Date cards, along with some more novelty items such as baby prediction games and alternative guest books for baby showers. So while we are still primarily a party company we do have lots to offer stationery buyers and we hope they will like what they see.”

Is there anything you expect to do particularly well for that sector?

“In particular our ‘Will You Be My Bridesmaid?’ cards are an outstanding success, along with our large range of tissue confetti which make a great counter top display for impulse buys.”

Sounds great – we hope it goes well for you! Finally, if you had to make one prediction about summer trends for 2018, what would you say?

“This summer it’s all about metallics and foil in every colour you can imagine.”
