The Party Club of America (PCA) held its successful 14th Annual Members’ Conference and Trade Show in New Orleans last month (from 10 – 11 January).
The buying group – whose members are affectionately known as ‘Super Retailers’ – was thrilled with the response to the two-day event, as both exhibitors and visitors reported positive result.
The event, which the PCA held in the days leading up to the 2018 Halloween & Party Expo, brought together the Halloween and party industry’s top vendors and retailers for an exclusive two-day trade show, which followed a ‘speed dating’ model.
Before the trade-show portion of the event opened, PCA members and staff met to discuss their direct-import programme.
“The PCA show was great this year,” said Allen Scarsella of Mayflower. “It’s a great venue for members and vendors to interface, do business, and relax and get to know each other. We really enjoy doing this show and can’t wait to do it again in 2019.”
Artie Savarese of Rubie’s agreed. He said; “The PCA format is a great opportunity to meet and greet PCA members and strategise about their respective store for the upcoming season. The camaraderie and the exchange of information are constant throughout the event between the members as well as vendors.”
“We pride ourselves on the operational efficiency and the flexibility of our Halloween, seasonal, and everyday direct import programmes,” said Andy Richman, PCA’s executive director. “We offer a myriad of shipping solutions so that all of our members can take advantage of the considerable cost savings our programmes offer.”
