Party retailers prepare to reopen: Lili Bizarre

With 15 June now being named as the new opening date for non-essential retail in the UK, party retailers have shared how they will be preparing for this date and what they are expecting to see when their doors open in a few weeks time.

“We have reopened the online store are currently offering a balloon delivery service until people still can’t collect from us in person.

We are looking forward to opening back up fully but have reservations about footfall and business in particular. Our other concern is how many staff we will need. We have four time staff and don’t want to be bringing them back if we have no customers for them to just stand around looking pretty.

We have been into the store to start putting plans in place for when we do reopen – it’s going to be hard as fancy dress is such a touchy-feely business. We will just have to see how it goes – we might be open for three or four hours a day at first and take it from there.

We will have a couple of decisions to make in the coming weeks…”
