PaintGlow launches plastic-free glitter

Face and body painting expert PaintGlow has launched a plant-based glitter which is the first 100% plastic-free glitter to reach the UK market.

Made from eucalyptus, the new guilt-free glitter boasts full eco credentials and is fully certified as 100% biodegradable, with sustainably sourced raw materials and is non-toxic to aquatic life. Verified as microplastic free, it simply decomposes like a leaf in the natural environment and is guaranteed to biodegrade in a natural fresh water environment.

Even at the highest quality, previous biodegradable glitters have never been fully biodegradable.

“Although these of course do still remain a better alternative than traditional plastic glitter, we still wanted to do more,” said business development manager Kieran Prince.

“As everyone knows, there’s a huge movement towards eco-friendly products and we’ve always been committed to going the extra mile for consumers,” he continued.  “We’re proud to have these new eco-friendly products that appeal to more and more people everyday.”

“The new plastic-free glitter is a revolutionary product that we’re extremely proud to be adding to our collection. We always release new glitters around this time of the year but this is like nothing else on the market. It’s a game changer for sure!”
