Paint Glow passes GMP audit

Make-up and facepaint company Paint Glow has been officially recognised for its good manufacturing practices, following an official audit earlier this year. Business development manager Keiran Prince tells us more.

What will the GMP audit mean to your business?

“From a cosmetic manufacturing point of view, it’s the highest level of certification you can achieve so it’s a massive deal for us all. It’s something we’ve been working towards for a while but have delayed going for it due to building and expansions. It’s yet another seal of approval for the factory and the products within.”

Did you have to make many changes to pass the audit?

“We didn’t have to make as many changes as we were expecting. We’ve always set the bar extremely high with manufacturing so it was more about just getting the audit done. We’re in the middle of expansion so we were tentative as we thought this may go against us but we managed to make it work.”

What difference will it make to your customers?

“After the changes within the UV products last year, there’s been a lot of uncertainty about products and safety. This, mixed with the uncertainty of Brexit is causing concern for customers.
This is another step forward to provide yet more opportunity for people to sell products, without any unnecessary hesitations.”

Can we expect to see any other changes in the future?

“Absolutely. We’re forever making strides forward as a company. We’ve now released the new collections for 2020 and did so at the Nuremberg Toy Fair recently. The feedback has been amazing so we’re excited to see how they perform this year but so far, they’ve done extremely well already. We also have the new buildings and extended opportunities that this provides. 2020 is looking to be an extremely positive year.”

What is next for Paint Glow in 2020?

“It’s exhibition season at the moment. We have Cosmoprof Bologna coming up in March so we’re getting ready for that. We’ve reconsidered our exhibitions this year setting new dates in the calendar and also working very closely with our distributors to ensure they’re able to make the most of their shows. We’re looking to introduce more distribution opportunities in a few new countries this year and have made some vast improvements to how we’re able to help facilitate these.”
