New radio station Halloween FM launches across UK

A brand new radio station Halloween FM will be launching next week, spearheaded by TheCostumeShop.ie as it seeks to grow the Halloween category across Ireland.

The new digital station, which is supported by Fanta, Boots and TheCostumeShop.ie, will be going live from Wednesday 23 October and running for eight days, through to the day after Halloween itself.

In addition to a seriously creepy playlist (provided by StarDJs), presenters will be on air 24/7,  doing spooky giveaways (featuring costumes and decorations from TheCostumeShop.ie), highlighting the best Halloween events and celebrations, sharing stories about their favourite Halloween traditions and more.

“We are taking a unique approach to the Halloween market this year, ” said Ronan O’Brien, ceo of TheCostumeShop.ie. “The idea is quite simple, we want to get more people into Halloween so they decorate their houses more, throw more parties and make Halloween a week-long festival. The festival started in Ireland, so it’s no big surprise that Ireland should be the home of Halloween!”

Ronan continued:”I think it’s important as the market leader in Ireland to think bigger, rather than trying to squeeze a few more points of market share in a market we already dominate. So instead we are creating the demand, showing people why Halloween is our favourite season, nudging them into taking action and developing real relationships with our customers to enhance their Halloween experience.”

Halloween fans across the UK can listen to the station here, from Wednesday 23 October. More info can be found at HalloweenFM.ie

* Halloween FM is a sister station to Christmas FM, which has been a successful seasonal station since 2008 and has raised €1.3million for charity.
