NCA fashion shows are an online triumph

It was costumes, masks and accessories galore last week as NCA members saw the introduction of the association’s first-ever Zoom Fashion Show, which took place over a three-day period, from Monday 11 – Wednesday 13 January.

The show, which was hosted by NCA chair Ed Avis, ran for approximately one hour each day, with between 30 and 60 attendees logging in to see the latest lines from the online exhibitors.

Buyers were able to log in to see the latest updates and 2021 product lines from between four and five exhibitors each day. Many exhibitors also discussed ‘show specials’ and highlighted their regular NCA Buyer’s Group deals.

“One of our strategic goals has been to better connect our Vendor Members to our bricks-and-mortar store owner members, and the Zoom Fashion Show did a great job of that,” commented Ed. “That seems especially important this year, when face-to-face meeting opportunities are non-existent.”

He continued: “We had between 30 and 55 attendees across each of the three days, and they watched presentations from four or five vendors on each day. The participants saw a wide range of products including masks, costumes and make-up. We’ll definitely plan on doing this again, even after Covid goes away.”

Exhibitors included: Ellie Shoes, Dreamgirl, Camden Passage, Rubies II, Go Fun Face, Trick or Treat Studios, Zagone Studios, Mehron, Halco, Sunnywood, Funny Fashion, Graftobian and Rasta Imposta.

Each individual fashion show was recorded and is now available to watch on-demand in the NCA Member Center.
