NABAS members celebrate International Balloon Month

The Balloon and Party Professionals Association Artists (NABAS) are joining in the celebrations for International Balloon Month 2020 by launching a series of initiatives to help their members mark the occasion.

International Balloon Month takes place in September each year and sees balloon artists across the globe working together to raise the profile of the industry and celebrate the incredible skill and creativity involved.

Spearheaded by the #LiftUpSomebody campaign which is running across social media, this year’s efforts are expected to have a greater effect as the initiative encourages people to ‘lift up’ those around them using the joy and positivity of balloons – something which has already been seen this year during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Throughout September, NABAS will showcase its members’ work both on and offline, while encouraging them to enter the #LiftUpSomebody competition.

“International Balloon Month is the perfect opportunity for the industry to continue to rebuild in light of the financial and commercial difficulties remaining in the wake of COVID-19 trading interruption,” said chairman George Oustayiannis. “The team at NABAS is using International Balloon Month to further raise the profile of the balloon industry. It is also a further opportunity to recognise the incredible talents of our members and the importance of industries in boosting morale, creating happiness and positivity and as part of a wider recognition of its contribution to a recovering economy.”

Throughout lockdown and beyond, NABAS has worked hard to help members futureproof their businesses and prepare for the ‘new normal’. This work continues with new initiatives and resources adding unquestionable value to the membership options, which include an industry-leading, gold standard insurance package, social media and digital marketing support, accreditation and business guidance and standard.

To see some of the NABAS’ members work, head to their social channels on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
