NABAS Combines Business And Balloons

The 2018 NABAS training day and AGM was held at Birmingham’s Manor Hotel on 23 April, combining business-focused courses with valuable hands-on balloon training.

The one-day event focused on a number of key areas, calling on experts from the fields of digital marketing, personal growth and time management as well as dedicated balloon decor expert Romina Finali.

The balloon and party association NABAS has recently benefited from the hard work and dedication of an entirely new committee, led by chairman, George Oustayiannis, founder of GO International.

“Our main goal is to support our members and we want every single one of them to grow and develop within our industry,” said committee member Paula Ardron-Gemmell. “We listen to their needs and requests and closely follow the market trends, so we can tailor our training days to bring the best of everything to those who wish to continuously improve.”

The three-hour balloon training session focused on the popular aqua balloon, the latest trend that has been sweeping across Europe. Romina is an expert in creating stunning displays using these fabulous balloons and shared her techniques, tips and other vital information with over 100 delegates.

Meanwhile Lee Gilbert and Mike Pagan led the business side of the day, speaking about free resources to boost business, how to use social media effectively, making the most of support networks, concentrating on what is important to your business and devoting time to those areas.

There was also great excitement as the return of the NABAS Event was announced. The three-day event will be returning to the UK next year – from 5 – 7 October at Warwick University – and will include a hands-on big build day, gala dinner and two full days of training with some of the most respected instructors in Europe.
