Party licensees share what’s trending in the world of brands at the moment and provide a sneak peek at their latest offerings.
Traditionally reserved mainly for children’s TV characters and blockbuster movies, licensing has grown exponentially over recent years to include heritage brands, adult properties, food and drink licences and much, much more. Licences lend themselves particularly well to the dress up and partyware sectors.
Dominique Peckett, director, Smiffys explains: “Smiffys’ licensed collections are a key part of our product offering. Our customers are willing to pay for high quality, licensed costumes to emulate their favourite movie characters and treasured entertainment icons.”
Rubies places a key focus on licensed products. Fran Hales, head of portfolio and marketing, comments: “Rubies continues to expand its portfolio of licences, offering the widest selection of licensed dress-up in the entire industry, with recent additions including Roald Dahl, Bluey, Paddington, along with Paramount’s powerhouse properties with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob and the highly anticipated PAW Patrol.”
