After trading together for four years, Turkish Kalisan and Cumbria-based Kalisan UK have signed a new seven year agreement to continue the ongoing distribution in the UK of the Kalisan latex balloon brand.
Kalisan ceo, Ozkan Erden and Kalisan UK ceo, Richard Aylett signed the agreement during Richard’s recent trip to Kalisan head office in Izmir, NABAS has reported.
“Kalisan has grown significantly in the UK over the last five years,” commented Richard. “We introduced their quality balloons to the UK and Irish market in 2021 when it was a little known brand in this country. It has now grown into one of the industry’s leading latex brands.”
Richard continued: “I am thrilled that the hard work of our team has been recognised in this way, and I would personally like to thank the efforts of our Kalisan UK team and the Kalisan team in Turkey for their part in the phenomenal success of this premium brand. I would also like to thank all our wholesale customers and the talented balloon decorators for their continued support of the Kalisan Team.”
The new agreement not only shows Ozkan’s faith in the ability of the UK team, but gives Kalisan UK security to further develop the brand in the coming years, which will hopefully bring employment opportunities into the Cumbria area.
