Justice League Takes Off

The much-anticipated Justice League movie from Warner Bros. has got off to a strong start with an £8.5million international box office on Wednesday 15 November.

The movie is the fifth in the extended DC Universe and sees additional characters joining the ensemble cast for the story. As the official costume licensors, Rubie’s has created a complete Justice League collection which sees all characters in the movie replicated in both adult and child designs, with female versions of both Batman and Superman.

The official Justice League Join The League website revealed the first look at the movie’s official costumes last month, with movie-inspired dress-up for Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Cyborg and even Mera.

The movie has already launched in nine overseas markets. Brazil is leading the way with $3.7 million, while South Korea and France both generated box office sales of $1.1 million.

A further 38 international markets – including much of Europe – opened on Thursday 16 November, while Friday’s US debut is seeing forecasts of an opening weekend of $110 million.
