Jays Fancy Dress Hire set to close after 24 years

Long-established fancy dress shop Jays Fancy Dress Hire is set to close after 24 years in business.

Based in Guiseley, the family-run business first started in 1995 and is well-known for stocking a wide range of themed costumes and for its extensive theatrical costume section.

Owner Janet Cartwright commented: “It is with great sadness that Judith and I are to be closing the doors on Jays Fancy Dress at the end of June. We have had a fantastic 24 years in Guiseley and would like to thank all our customers who have kept us going.

She continued: “Sadly the internet has played a huge part in our decision to close as more and more people leave the high street and shop from home.”

The closing down sale starts on Wednesday 5 June at 1pm with plenty of bargains across a range of fancy dress accessories and costumes.
