Industry pays tribute to Fun Shack’s Geoff Key

Party industry peers are paying tribute to Fun Shack’s financial director Geoff Key following his untimely passing in December 2019.

Geoff had been a key figure at Fun Shack since being appointed in 2013. He had resigned from his post last year, having remained on board to ensure a smooth transition period following the MorphCostumes acquisition which took place last February.

“I didn’t work with Geoff very long, but even in that short time it was clear he was a man of great integrity, commitment and a great sense of humour,” commented Graeme Menzies, director at MorphCostumes. “I really enjoyed working with him and he made a massive contribution to our business.”

In further sad news, it has been reported that Jack Dong, the founder and owner of Karnival Costumes – who previously acted as the buying agent for Fun Shack in China – also passed away towards the end of 2019.
