H&P Expo: Artist Battleground

This year’s Halloween and Party Expo will see the first ever Artist Battleground, taking place during the show, on the Haunted Trends Runway and lounge.

The Artist Battleground – ‘Where the best stroke wins’ – is a new, one day make-up competition which will bring some of the most requested make-up and special effects products to life on stage.

Kicking off on Saturday 13 January 2018 at midday, the competition will see four of the best make-up companies in the world facing off live on stage.

The theme of the battleground will not be revealed until the day, when artists will be given just four hours to completely transform their models before a winner is crowned. The competition will be overseen by celebrity judges Kyle Vest of Blast Effects (a Skin Wars fan favourite!) and Nick Wolfe of Evil Twin FX.

All painting will take place on the Haunted Trends Runway and Lounge so visitors are able to see all the creations up close and learn techniques and tricks first-hand.

The winner will be announced at 4pm on Saturday 13 January.

2018 Competitors are:

  • Cinema Secrets
  • MoonGlow
  • Foothills Creations
  • Kryolan Professional Make-up
