H&P Expo 2021: an educational experience

One of the key highlights from this year’s H&P Expo were the live and on-demand education sessions run by Retail Minded’s Nicole Leinbach Reyhle as she spoke directly to party and Halloween retailers looking for ways to optimise their sales.

In addition to the exhibitors, competitions and fashion shows, the retail education programme has always been one of the primary attractions for businesses looking for ways to improve and grow.

All the education sessions can be seen online on the H&P Expo platform.

H&P Expo 2021 ensured that it was able to continue offering this experience for this year’s virtual experience by teaming up with Nicole, the founder and publisher of RetailMinded.com, a well-respected retail industry resource which has been recognised worldwide for its leading business insight since 2007.

Each day of the show saw Nicole offering both an on-demand viewing session and a live Zoom-based retail roundtable, covering a wide variety of subjects and topics across the six sessions.

The on-demand sessions covered a wide range of topics, including how to increase customer engagement with physical retail as well as key marketing strategies and a social media how-to.

The retail roundtables – which encouraged interactive participation and Q&As – focused primarily on core retail aspects such as selling online, staying focused and gaining visibility and sales in a challenging marketplace.

“We are talking about ways we can increase customer engagement in physical storefronts despite the obvious challenges we have ahead in 2021, because – let’s face it – retail has changed,” Nicole stated. “What has not changed, is the desire for customers to engage with merchants.”

“You might have to start online and get them into your store or you might have some regulations or limitations due to Covid-19, but there are still ways for physical merchants to keep their businesses alive and their stores profitable.”

All on-demand education sessions and retail roundtables will remain on the H&P Expo website for one week and can be seen by simply navigating to the Event Agenda section of the H&P Expo platform.
