H&P Expo 2020: the highlights

With just over a month to go until the 2020 Halloween & Party Expo, PPE spoke to the H&P Expo’s marketing director Samantha Grimaldi to find out more about what’s in store for this year’s show.

Taking place in New Orleans from 17 – 19  January 2020, the show offers a fascinating mix of product, inspiration and new ideas from more than 350 exhibitors as well as the perfect opportunity to prepare for a Saturday Halloween

A number of expanded product categories have been introduced for this year’s show as marketing director Samantha Grimaldi explains.

“After last year’s show, we heard from retailers that along with costumes, they want to see more make-up, novelties, accessories and business services,” she said. “This means that buyers will have the opportunity to add more assortment to their inventory including seasonal and festive product offering beyond the Halloween category, focus on add-on sales and drive sales year round at their stores.”

“The most significant new attraction for 2020 is the SMART Event Experience,” Sam continued, “which will make it very easy to find new products and form new connections with attendees and exhibitors. It’s a digital handshake between buyers and exhibitors and we’re really excited to be able to provide this new technology that continues to evolve the traditional tradeshow experience.”

Another new initiative for the 2020 show is the extended shopping option on Saturday evening, taking place from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

“Buyers should also be sure to visit for important information on preparing for the show including the event schedule, special events, new products, show special discounts and more,” said Sam. “And once you are at the show, an official mobile application can be downloaded to make navigating everything as easy as possible.”

The Halloween & Party Expo website has full details of the H&P Expo event schedule and an interactive exhibitor list where visitors can flag up any vendors they would like to find out more about.
