HalloweenCostumes.com says business is ‘almost back to normal’

Business is ‘almost back to normal’ following a number of difficult months, according to US-based ecommerce retailer HalloweenCostumes.com.

A spokesperson for the online costume business spoke to celebrity and entertainment website TMZ about its sales figures, following a story it had previously run, highlighing the possible ‘cancellation’ of Halloween.

The story focused on theme parks and other attractions who have already cancelled their annual Halloween events, before revealing that the L.A. County Department of Public Health is asking families to prepare alternative ways to celebrate the season with as little contact as possible with non-household members.

In response, HalloweenCostumes.com said that business is almost back to normal business now, after numbers being down by 32% at the height of the pandemic. However, the company has made significant ground since then, with sales now down by just 1% compared to last year at this time.

The company is optimistic that sales will remain solid leading up to Halloween as well, and has published a list of the 25 most popular Halloween costumes for this year.
