Halloween 2023 Review: Widmann

Widmann’s newly appointed UK&I sales agent, Paul Lewis, provides an overview of how Halloween was for the company, both in the UK and Ireland, and in Europe.

“Having joined Widmann during the Halloween season, I was worried about the short time I had to get the best results from the sales campaign, especially with me not being able to plan for the season. The number of customers who were very pleased to see the Widmann offering back into the UK was a pleasant surprise. I was personally impressed with how well the shipments moved from Italy to the UK&I to allow our customers to sell products much longer into the Halloween season, considering the journey.

“We have had a lot of positive feedback about Widmann during the Halloween period. Considering the day of the week that Halloween fell on this year, I personally was expecting a decrease in sales, but we stayed steady with last year, despite the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

“With over 2,000 Halloween items in the range, it was great to see our new Halloween track suit was extremely popular this year. With the addition of our new party fashion range, we are expecting this trend for fashion-conscious consumers to continue into next year.

Halloween

“Fantastic news coming out of mainland Europe – our brand, which was one of the first to bring Halloween costumes to Europe, has had the best Halloween revenue in the history of the company. According to sales director Cesar Campos, 2022 was the record in sales and 2023 topped even that.

“With our new internal content team, our online listings and imagery will only be getting better. Along with this, we are adding a number of select partners to the Widmann offering, who will help increase the number of items available to the consumer in the UK and Ireland, offering growth for us and profitability to our customers.

“With over 630 items added into the catalogue this season, I am so excited for what the next season has in store, and I hope my update in 2024 will be even more positive than it was in 2023. Especially with the range increasing, partner opportunities and a team dedicated to the UK&I market.”
