Folat Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Amsterdam-based costume and party goods company Folat is celebrating its 25th year in business in 2018 and to commemorate the occasion is offering a fabulous 25% discount across all its Oktoberfest stock, from decorations to dress-up accessories.

The company, which started in 1993, was initially a college project to simply buy and sell foil and latex balloons (which explains the portmanteau name). However, the company took on a life of its own following the launch of Balloonpost – a post office-based concept which allowed consumers to send cards accompanied by a bright balloon.

These days, Folat exports to 38 countries, provides fulfillment for other companies and has thousands of own-brand products on offer.

“We have over 12,000 products across all product sectors in the party market,” says Greg de Jong, sales and marketing director, “and we introduce 800 new products each year. Now, some 25 years on, we aren’t just balloons, or even just costumes – we are the whole party and everything in-between. As we say, ‘one garland does not make a party’!”

The company has been offering 25% discounts on a number of ranges throughout the year so far – its Steampunk collection kicked the anniversary initiative off at the start of the year, while April saw a discount applied to all graduation products.

The complete Oktoberfest catalogue can be seen online here.
