Festival Sets New Unicorn Fancy Dress Record

The newest craze in the party world has been taken to the next level as a boutique festival in Cornwall sets a new Guinness World Record for the number of people gathered in one place wearing unicorn horns.

More than 500 people came together in the on-trend dress-up accessory at the 3 Wishes festival to set the first ever world record for the largest crowd wearing unicorn horns. Many also wore full-on unicorn fancy dress to add to the sense of occasion.

Guinness World Records has yet to verify the record but a spokesperson said a minimum of 250 people was required for success.

Organisers of the event said they were ‘very confident’ that an official record has been set.

“I wanted to do something different and unicorns are like the new black – they’re en vogue and everyone is going crazy for them,” said event organiser Karen Kay. “Unicorns represent freedom… There’s so much going on in the world at the moment, we all need that bit of uplifting and celebration.”
