The European Balloon and Party Council (EBPC) has set up an online resource for members as it prepares to launch a social media campaign across both Facebook and Twitter.
The campaign has so far seen the industry association responding to the European Commission by advising them of EBPC’s concerns about the Single Use Plastics Directive.
The official communication also requested that the EC carefully consider its marketing before undertaking any social media campaigns which includes balloons and balloon sticks.
The EBPC campaign now has a dedicated web page which can be found at www.partysafe.eu/balloonfacts
Materials can be downloaded directly for your own use, while press releases, articles, infographics and news will also be shared through the EBPC social media sites. More materials will be added in the coming weeks.
As part of the social media drive, all members are being urged to support the industry by following EBPC on its social media channels on Facebook and Twitter.
“Members are asked to share, like and distribute EBPC posts and tweets as widely as possible to help build a consumer following over the coming weeks,” said operations manager Suteesh Chumber. “Your support is invaluable to get consumers onside.”
