EBPC issues balloon storage guidance

The European Balloon and Party Council (EBPC) has issued helpful industry guidance to its members surrounding the correct storage of balloons.

The comprehensive document has been issued in order to help suppliers and distributors find out more about how to store both latex and foil balloons correctly. The fundamental points are as follows:

  • Temperature – 5 to 38 degrees c
  • Light – avoid direct sunlight
  • Humidity – around 35% is ideal
  • Packaging-  airtight if possible
  • Timescales – many years if stored correctly

The information outlined in the full document applies to both latex and foil balloons and should be used as a guide to ‘best practice’.

The official guidance gives a more detailed explanation of all of these points but is available to members only. Retailers looking for additional information should speak to their distributors or suppliers to find out more.
