Disney teams up with Disguise for inclusive Halloween costumes

The Walt Disney Company has teamed up with US fancy dress expert Disguise to launch its first ever range of inclusive Halloween costumes and wheelchair covers.

One of the wheelchair covers features Cinderella’s coach.

The new collection – which launched on ShopDisney.com in August 2020 – will allow both children and adults to easily dress up as their favourite Disney heroes and heroines this Halloween, or indeed at any other time of the year.

The costumes have been designed for easy dressing and also include front flaps that provide open access to feeding tubes and have longer lengths and stretchier fabric to ensure they are more comfortable for those using a wheelchair.

Options currently available include Incredibles, Buzz Lightyear and Cinderella outfits as well as co-ordinating wheelchair covers (in the form of Cinderella’s Coach and an Incredibles Incredicar) to create the complete look.

Both the wheelchair covers and the inclusive costumes will be available at Disney Parks in the future.
